The existing Warehouse refurbishment was undertaken first. To upgrade this aging warehouse roof, we installed a site-assembled Trisobuild® RWL over-roof solution. The original profiled steel sheet was retained in position as roof liner, we installed a new vapour control layer & Euroclass A insulation above existing liner sheet. Tata Instaloc® Plus spacer system was incorporated to carry the Tata R32 HPS200 external cladding sheet. The main challenge was to ensure the occupants of this live building remained unimpacted by the construction works. To this end a roof safety netting incorporating debris netting was installed before works commenced. The client faced minimal disruption during the entire build and were able to continue their operation unimpeded. Following completion of the refurbishment, works commenced on the new build Warehouse element. The specification to the main roof area was a Tata Trisobuild® RWL system. This included Tata RL32 0.7mm walkable liner, Euroclass A insulation, Tata Instaloc® Plus spacer system & Tata R32 profile in Colourcoat® finish. The metal roof also incorporated Brett Martin site assembled rooflights achieving a Mansafe period of 25 years. The New existing builds were to be connected, the link roof was formed using Sika Sikashield Reinforced Bituminous membrane system, this incredibly robust flat roof system would ensure defect free maintenance was possible for the Brett Martin Flat Glass rooflights which we installed. To ensure end user safety we provided a ballasted handrail system around each rooflight. Finally, wall cladding was provided in the form of Tata Trisobuild® FW30V firewall system, achieving 30 minutes insulation / 240 minutes integrity, & Insulated to 0.23 W/m²K. Striking architectural elements such as a feature band flashing and large recessed entrance arrangement completed the external façade.
